LIS vs LIMS: what the difference actually is
The two terms are used interchangeably and should not be. The distinction is about patients versus samples, and it determines which capabilities a system treats as essential.

How laboratories can automate requisition processing
Faxed and scanned requisitions are still a major intake channel. Here is what automating that queue actually involves, stage by stage, and where human review has to stay.

Common questions
Do we have to replace our current LIS to work with you?
No. Many engagements begin with a single workflow — document intake, eligibility, results delivery or billing — connected to the existing system by interface. Replacing the system of record is a decision to make on its own merits, not a precondition.
How long does implementation take?
It depends on the number of interfaces, the state of the data being migrated and how much workflow design is needed first. We scope both before proposing a schedule, because a timeline given before scoping is a guess presented as a commitment.
Can we start with managed services and add the platform later?
Yes, and some laboratories do exactly that — starting with eFax or data entry support against their existing system, then moving workflows onto the platform as it makes sense.
Who owns our data?
You do. Data ownership, export rights and what happens at the end of an engagement are written into the contract rather than left implied.
